Natural History Museum Showcase

uwTo celebrate Universities Week (9-15 June 2014), UUK have teamed-up with the NCCPE and the Natural History Museum to hold a major week-long residency and exhibition at the NHM’s Darwin Centre in London.

There will be over 5000 visitors a day, so this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your research in an innovative and dynamic manner.

They are now looking for expressions of interest and ideas for these showcases and the University’s Stakeholder Relations Team, in conjunction with representatives from each Faculty will be coordinating the University’s submissions.

If you would like to register your interest and suggest an idea (please see ‘section 2’ of the pdf for the very short form and guidance from UUK on format, audience, topics etc.) then please contact your Faculty representative to discuss things as soon as possible:

  • Social Sciences: Ronni Littlewood V dot R dot Littlewood at warwick dot ac dot uk
  • Medicine: Virginia Brown Virginia dot Brown at warwick dot ac dot uk

Activities at the NHM can be of various kinds:

  • Static stands/displays

  • Soapboxes at which Early Years Researchers can “provoke” visitors with their work
  • Large scale performances, demonstrations & installations
  • A research fair for schools
