Open Access funding available

Open Access

Open Access (OA) is the practice of providing unrestricted access to scholarly research outputs via the Internet. Since 2013, OA mandates have been in place from a number of funders, namely RCUK and the Wellcome Trust. These mandates affect both staff and PhD students.

For Open Access mandate information, see the Library’s Open Access webpages.

Funding

Funding is currently available to support RCUK-funded outputs (journal articles and conference proceedings). Please see the Open Access pages from the Library for further information on how to apply.

Funding is allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, subject to the journal’s compliance with the RCUK OA Policy. It is therefore recommended that you apply early, i.e., as soon as an article has been accepted.
