Open Day Sign-Up

There is still time for staff to sign-up to help with the forthcoming Open Days on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 June.

Sector research and our own survey feedback indicate that University Open Days are a significant factor in informing applicant decision making – one of the reasons that this year the University will be running four open days instead of three. The Warwick Open Days on 20 and 21 June are an essential part of the recruitment cycle and two of the largest events in the University calendar. The June events will attract thousands of visitors - primarily Year 12 students considering Warwick as an undergraduate option and their supporters.

In order to deliver a successful university-wide event, staff support is needed for a variety of roles, each of which offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a large and busy event designed to showcase Warwick to our prospective students and their supporters.

Roles include the coordination of student ambassadors, directing visitors and managing entry to sessions. Support is needed from 8am to 5pm and it will be necessary to attend a briefing session in the week before the event.

Application

The deadline for staff sign-up is Monday 9 June. If you are able and willing to work on either date then please fill out our short online form.

Anyone interested should discuss their involvement in the Open Days with their line manager before signing up. Please note that for the Saturday 21 Open Day only, staff on grades 1-5 will be paid time-and-a-half by the Student Admissions and Recruitment Office. Grades 6 - 8 may be offered TOIL for the day, if agreed in advance with line managers.

If you have any questions about the day then please contact Simon Fairbanks at s dot fairbanks at warwick dot ac dot uk or call extension 73036.
