Postgraduate Award in Career Development

Warwick Business School and the Centre for Lifelong Learning have worked together to create a Postgraduate Award in Career Development. The new award is being offered to students who graduated from Warwick in July 2014 and who are not currently in graduate level employment or postgraduate study. A key aim of the award is to widen participation in Masters level academic study.

ProVice Chancellor Christina Hughes, who initiated the project, commented:

This exciting new qualification will provide recent Warwick graduates with the awareness, knowledge and skills to navigate their way in the employment market. It will help them think about the kind of career that will suit them best, and manage their transition into work.”

Gill Frigerio, Senior Teaching Fellow at the Centre for Lifelong Learning, and Bob Thomson, Professor of Practice at Warwick Business School, have written ten on-line lessons to help graduates explore a variety of perspectives on career development and employability, and to consider how organisations and their leaders operate. Participants will also take part in on-line webinars and receive one-to-one career coaching via phone or Skype from a Warwick career consultant.
