The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) has published its report on learning and teaching at Warwick following its review of the University in February and March 2013.

A team of QAA reviewers visited the University and judged that its academic standards, the quality of its student learning opportunities, and the quality of its information about learning opportunities all meet UK expectations. They also commended the enhancement of learning opportunities and identified a number of examples of good practice including:

the resources available to all staff to support their professional development, and the simultaneous review of teaching and learning in all departments [which took place in 2011], which promotes enhancement across the University”.

The review also highlighted the integrated work of the Library, the Institute of Advanced Teaching and Learning (IATL), the Learning and Development Centre (LDC), and the Student Careers and Skills (SCS) service to facilitate innovation in teaching and learning.

Warwick’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift said:

This confirms the initial QAA findings and represents an excellent outcome for the University. I want to thank everyone involved in the preparations and conduct of the review, and all of our staff and students who contribute to creating an outstanding educational experience here at Warwick.”
