Owing to critical electrical works and essential re-flooring, all parts of the Rootes building (excluding Costa) will be closed from 8am on Saturday 12 December, re-opening in early January 2016. We’ve scheduled the work to take place during the Christmas vacation period to make sure the disruption to our staff, students and visitors is as minimal as possible.

The following services will be affected by the closure:

• Bar Fusion and The Bar will be closed – Le Gusta in the Arts Centre, or Xananas in the Students’ Union are available as alternatives.
• The upstairs venues (Panorama Room and the Chancellor’s suite) will be unavailable – we’ve made sure no events have been booked during the closure.

Learning Grid Rootes will close as normal for the Christmas period. The nearby Library Learning Grid will be available throughout as an alternative.
