On Wednesday 7 May, SanDisk and Warwick Students' Union will attempt to break a Guiness World Records title for most self-portrait photographs (selfies) taken simultaneously across multiple venues.

The record attempt will take place in five universities across countries;

• UK – University of Warwick
• France – EFAP Paris
• Germany – Hochschule Fresenius
• Spain – Universidad Complutense de Madrid
• Italy – University of Siena

At 12:30 BST, 1,000 participants across the five European locations will attempt to snap a ‘selfie’ simultaneously. Each country will aim to bring together at least 200 people to attempt to set the record, with participants posing and pouting their way into history.

Anyone is welcome to come along to the piazza at 12pm on Wednesday to take part in Warwick’s part of this event – there are goodie bags which will be handed out to the first 400 people who take part.
