Enhancing the student experience - Why it matters and what to do about it

Dr Justin Greaves will be sharing his experience as Director of Student Experience and Progression (DSEP) in PAIS, a distinctive role that acts as a bridge between academic and administrative provision. His remit covers all stages of the undergraduate student cycle and he will cover essential topics such as:

  • Enhancing the student experience - skills, internships and employability
  • Improving students' understanding and perceptions of feedback
  • Effective strategies to promote student recruitment and convert offers into accepts, focusing on his role on open days
  • Widening Participation in the context of University strategy
  • Building on the work of the personal tutor system
  • Working with colleagues to improve student satisfaction

Colleagues with similar roles in other departments will participate in Q&A panel. The session will be of interest to a wide range of academic and administrative colleagues who work on student experience/teaching and learning related issues.
