URSS student bursaries: Global Research Priorities

Energy

grpeThe Energy GRP will be supporting up to 5 Undergraduate Summer Placements in 2014, each with a bursary of up to £2,000. The award is to help with living costs and expenses associated with a research project and will be paid directly to the student. The project should last between 4 and 10 weeks and support energy research. Students from any department are welcome to apply.

How to Apply
Once the potential supervisor and the student have agreed the project and people involved, each needs to complete the relevant application form which are can be downloaded from the Energy GRP website.

Submission
Completed application forms (for both the supervisor and the student) need to be emailed by the supervisor to the Energy GRP Administrator EnergyGRP at warwick dot ac dot uk by 4pm on Friday 28 February. No late submissions will be accepted.

Materials

grpmThe Materials GRP will be supporting ten Summer Placements each with an award of £2000.The bursary is to help with living costs and expenses associated with your chosen project and will be paid directly to the student. The project should last between six and ten weeks and must involve the study of Materials; we welcome students from any department to apply. To qualify, two supervisors must be named from different departments. Students must be fully-registered undergraduates; we are unable to include final year students.

How to Apply

  • You must secure your own project before you can apply for funding.

Submission
Applications opened on the 20 January and close on 21 March 2014.
