Warwick Climate Forum 2014
Warwick Climate Forum: Market Solutions or Revolution?
Warwick Climate Forum aims to offer a platform of debate, to enrich understanding of climate change as well as prompt action. We aim to inspire a generation of students at this critical moment in global history. Everything stands to be destabilised by the scale and urgency required in addressing the issue of climate change. It undermines all known disciplines of law, economy and science.
This year’s forum is themed: “Market Solutions or Revolution?” The event will feature talks by professionals, passionate activists and academics, as well as workshops and panel discussions on the topic. We will question whether positive action is really possible within the current market framework and how far these approaches can provide real solutions to the problem. We will also consider the extent to which radical social and economic change is needed to avoid a climate catastrophe.
