Student television awards for Warwick TV
The team also received the news that Warwick TV had the best student TV viewing figures for live broadcasts this year over the whole country, with their Varsity broadcasts and SU election night coverage helping to smash all existing records for the number of people tuning in.
Short film Spare Parts won the award for Best Drama. The eight-minute production started life as a simple, single-scene script filmed in the lounge of a student house and evolved into an exploration of suicide and the anger, frustration and helplessness of those left behind.

What will you join?
The Best Light Entertainment award went to Zing, a light-hearted film about two students who discover they can teleport. Written, directed and produced by Warwick undergraduate Clare Stone, the film was made with a skeleton crew and no budget.
Among the other entries submitted by Warwick TV was sketch show A Conservative Appeal, which was nominated for Best Comedy, and the finished ‘Warwick in a Day’ film, made up of contributions from students and staff to the Warwick in a Day project in January 2013.
