Whizz-bang chemistry event in aid of Warwick in Africa
Nick Barker and Vas Stavros of the Department of Chemistry are inviting parents and their children to join them in the Zeeman Building for a noisy, frothy, bubbly display of whizz-bang chemistry on Tuesday 4 June at 6.30pm.
Suitable for all ages (7 and above) who enjoy loud noises, excitement and bad jokes.

Over the past two years Nick has been involved in providing teacher training Masterclasses for Maths and English in both Accra, Ghana and Stellenbosch, South Africa. This Summer Nick will be going to Limpopo, South Africa to again carry out masterclasses for teachers in local schools, along with 5 other alumni and staff from Warwick.

Warwick in Africa
Warwick In Africa is a philanthropically-funded programme, developed over seven years from a small student volunteering project to a multi-layered programme which supports learners and their teachers with Maths and English education in South Africa, Tanzania and Ghana.
Warwick in Africa now teaches in 25 urban and rural schools and over 120,000 learners have benefited so far. Its fundamental aim is to enhance the education of young people in Africa, a direct route to liberation from poverty.
