Bring & Buy Win for Student Project Managers

A group of MSc students from the Warwick Manufacturing Group recently won a Postgraduate Project Management competition organised by the Association for Project Management.

The Apprentice-style challenge saw teams of five being given a £100 budget with which to buy items to sell at a car-boot sale or flea-market the following day. The challenge was to raise at least £50 profit to donate to Oxfam (to fund an African business-start up loan).

Kanmi Odutola, a member of Warwick’s winning team, said “I am grateful and elated to have participated.”

WMG’s MSc in Programme and Project Management is designed to develop the skills required of a professional project manager and to equip the participants to operate effectively in the current business arena of projects or multi-project programmes.

The Association of Project Management exists to develop and promote the professional disciplines of project and programme management for the public benefit.

APM is the largest independent professional body of its kind in Europe.  It has over 15,000 individual and 400 corporate members throughout the UK and abroad.
