It is with great sadness that the University reports the death of Carl Blakey, a postgraduate student within MOAC. Our thoughts are with Carl's friends and family at this time.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift said:

"The sudden death of a student brings great sadness to everyone in our community. Carl lived close to the campus and studied in a building in the very heart of that campus. The loss of his young life will touch many of us."
