Chow Yi Ling, a student from Singapore, has won a President's Scholar Award, which she is using to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Warwick.

She was picked from more than 2,000 students who applied for the award. Along with the other three winners, she was chosen for her leadership qualities, academic excellence, values and people skills.

After graduating, she hopes to move into public service, something she has had a passion for since working to refurbish a Cambodian orphanage in 2007.

Chow Yi Ling will join the University this autumn.
