James Marvin wins Scholarship on BBC's "Michel Roux's Service"

Warwick Graduate James Marvin, who has been taking part in the BBC TV show "Michel Roux's Service", has been awarded one of three Academy of Food and Wine scholarships that the show offers. The intention of the scholarship is to launch James into a career in high-end service.

To win the Front of House scholarship, James has had to undergo eight weeks of intensive tuition, in a bid to develop skills that will allow him to take over service at Michel's own two Michelin-starred restaurant.

The show awarded one Sommelier Scholarship and had originally intended to award one Front of House scholarship, but was so impressed with the calibre of the trainees that they awarded two.

When awarding the scholarship to James, Michel said he knew James would be a "leading light" in the industry.
