Jiannan Guo, a research student in the Department of Economics has been awarded first place in the 2007 PhD Presentation Prize competition of the Chinese Economic Association.

He was given the award for his job market paper on The Role of Public Ownership in China's TVE Development: Theory and Empirical Evidence.
