The University is sad to announce that Warwick Medical School Web Manager Jo Saravanamuttu passed away suddenly aged 44 on December 2 after a short, yet brave battle with cancer.

Jo worked as part of the Marketing and Communications team at Warwick Medical School since early 2008. Prior to this, Jo had worked in a number of departments across the University including the International Office.

Born and raised in Coventry, Jo attended Finham Park School and then Henley College in Coventry. After spending some time travelling abroad, she later went on to gain a BA Hons degree in Communication Studies at Coventry University, during which time she also became a mother first to daughter Saffron and then to her son Louis.

Jo’s passion and enthusiasm in all aspects of her life meant she quickly became an integral part of the Medical School. Her death has come as a huge shock, Jo was a friend as well as a colleague and she will be sadly missed. In addition to her two children, Jo leaves behind her husband Indran.
