Further to the Registrar's previous announcement, Kate Hughes will be joining the Deputy Registrar's Office as Director of Student Services from 1 September 2008.

For the past eight years Kate has been Director of Research Support Services and has led that team through a period of significant change and development.

An experienced senior manager, in her new role Kate will take forward the student experience agenda at Warwick and work with colleagues to ensure it remains a key factor in influencing student choice in coming to the University and throughout their course, and to engender a positive and supportive experience from Arrivals Weekend through to Graduation and beyond.

The Deputy Registrar, Ken Sloan, said:

I am delighted that Kate is joining the team. She has significant experience of leading teams, maximising their potential and delivering results. This is an important point in the programme of change that we are going through to ensure that all of our student services contribute to the delivery of the University's vision to be a world-class University. I know that Kate will bring her creativity and energy to this programme and make a real difference."
