Kiley Brown has joined the Centre for Student Careers and Skills as Employer Liaison Officer for Postgraduate Researchers. Her role, which is new to the department, reflects the University’s increasing numbers of Postgraduate Research students, and its determination to address the employment market and needs of this specific group.

As part of the established Employer Connect team, Kiley will be working with local, national, and international organisations to identify how they can benefit from employing Warwick PhD students. Her aim is to help employers reach out to this growing pool of very talented people, whether or not they have previously considered employing those qualified to this level.

She will lead and support initiatives aimed at providing opportunities for postgraduate researchers to refine the skills that employers look for, and their ability to put them across. Through organising careers fairs and other networking events, she will give PhD students the opportunity to meet employers face to face in order to enhance the understanding of the recruitment market in their chosen field of work, bringing employers and postgraduate researchers closer together.
