Professor Phil Woodruff

Professor Phil Woodruff of the Department of Physics has been awarded the Mott Medal and Prize for his contributions to the field of surface and interface science. This is a senior award of the Institute of Physics, which has been awarded annually since 1997. After the death of Sir Nevill Francis Mott, the Nobel prize winning physicist and Warwick honorary graduand (1968), in 1996 his family endowed this prize, which consists of a silver medal and £1,000. Phil Woodruff currently holds an EPSRC Senior Fellowship and has received other medals and honours.
