Professor Susan Bassnett, of the Centre for Translation and Comparative Cultural Studies, has been appointed a member of the judging panel for the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize, elected to the West Midlands Regional Council of the West Midlands Arts Board and become a member of the new Arts Advisory Committee at the British Council.
