Former Warwick Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Brian Follett has been appointed as Chair of the Teacher Training Agency (TTA).

Sir Brian was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Warwick from 1993 to 2001

The TTA has an essential part to play in underpinning many of the Government’s school reforms. It is responsible for meeting tough recruitment targets and securing high quality initial teacher training. It also has a new responsibility to develop the role and standards of Higher Level Teaching Assistants.
