Brief Encounter - Juliet Taylor
Juliet has taken a gamble and joined the University from the casino business. She came here first at the age of 33 to study for her Bachelor's degree and now works for Warwick Volunteers, providing opportunities for students and staff to volunteer and help disadvantaged groups in the local community.

Project Co-ordinator for Warwick Volunteers
Which means:
I co-ordinate student and staff volunteering activity at the University. At the moment we are awaiting our busiest day of the year β Volunteering Day on Thursday 9 October. This is when Warwick Volunteers invite all the local community, voluntary and charity organisations onto campus to talk to people about volunteering, it should be pretty hectic!
Favourite phrase:
Carpe Diem
Least favourite phrase:
Itβs for your own good - yuk!

Best thing about working at Warwick:
The Arts Centre and being surrounded by bright young people
Worst thing about working at Warwick:
Being surrounded by bright young people
To write a situation comedy
People are always surprised to learn this about me, but...
I love poetry and can recite a number of poems from memory.
As a young child what did you want to be as a "grown-up"?

What has life's experience taught you so far?
Life is fast!
If you could change one thing in the University overnight, what would it be?
Get more staff and students volunteering in the local community; we need to get know our area better β and give it a helping hand. The calibre of the people here at Warwick means we can make a huge contribution.
