Dr Matthew Keeling and Dr Vladimir Markovic Awarded Leverhulme Trust Prize

Dr Matthew Keeling and Dr Vladimir Markovic, both of the Department of Mathematics, have been awarded £50,000 prizes by the Leverhulme Trust. Dr Keeling was awarded for his work on mathematical biology and Dr Markovic (who also won a Whitehead prize earlier this year) for his work on geometry/analysis.

The Philip Leverhulme Prize began in 2001 and around 25 are awarded each year in five selected subject areas. The prize recognises outstanding research achievements of young scholars and the £50,000 is used to further the researcher?s work.
