Which means
I’m a part-time Officer of the Students' Union. I sit on the Academic Representation Committee, a couple of important Faculty Boards, the Library Student-Staff Liaison Committee, and Union Council. I also coordinate the SSLC system throughout the entire Faculty. In summary, I’m the direct academic representative of all undergraduate students in the Social Studies Faculty.

Life before Warwick
I'm a typical "third-culture kid". Although I'm German and Spanish, I grew up in an international environment attending schools in about six countries. Moving around a lot had its ups and downs, but overall I would rank it as a positive experience.

Best thing about working at Warwick
The dynamism of students at the university, who are passionate about their subjects but also pursue their interests further afield.

Worst thing about working at Warwick
The lack of contact between students and academics so students often don't get the most out of their time here.

People are always surprised to learn this about me, but...
I'm happy with my haircut.

As a young child what did you want to be as a "grown-up"?
It ranged from a doctor to an astrophysicist.

Now that you are grown-up what would be your "dream job"?
A freelance political and economic analyst.

Any hidden talents?
I have a bit of a knack for organization and an intimate knowledge of obscure football rules.

If you could change one thing in the University overnight, what would it be?
Increase interpersonal relations between members of the university staff and students. I think that would make the whole experience of studying here a lot more memorable.

Which person inspires you most, and why?
Epicurus. For him happiness was about freedom, thought, and friendship.

Your favourite hobby or pastime?
Being a qualified football referee for the Birmingham County FA. It's great to get out of the Warwick bubble into the 'real world' every week and be involved in a sport I love!
