Emeritus Professor John Ellis, Department of Biological Sciences, has been awarded the 4th Cell Stress Society International Medal. The Cell Stress Society International is a society open to any qualified researcher investigating stress responses using molecular and cellular approaches. It aims to promote collaboration among the various fields of stress research, international scientific cooperation, and public awareness of the importance of the field.

Professor Ellis will be presented with the medal after delivering the keynote lecture at the opening session of the 2007 Stress Congress in Budapest, Hungary.
