Information Officer, Research Operations Division, Research Support Services.

Which means:
Promoting the University's research profile, specifically through the project management of the Expertise system which enables researchers and academics to promote their research activity to both internal and external audiences. Also responsible for the provision of management information relating to research activity and co-ordinator of ResearchResearch.com, an online database of sponsor information, news and latest funding opportunities.

Life before Warwick:
Regional Administrator at Abbey National plc.

Smartest career move:
Turning down a job in further education to work in higher education where there's more opportunities and greater flexibility!

Best thing about working at Warwick:
Beautiful campus, lots of places to eat and good shops.

Worst thing about working at Warwick:
Finding available car park spaces.

Lifelong ambition:
Early retirement and lots of travelling.

Your favourite hobby or pastime?
Painting and decorating.

Any hidden talents?
Singing and playing the harmonium.

People are always surprised to learn this about me, but...
I went to the same school as Jasper Carrot (but not at the same time, of course!)

As a young child what did you want to be as a "grown-up"?
School teacher, then hairdresser, then air hostess then I gave up!

Major achievement to date?
Getting to the sixth (and final) year of my part time degree with the Open University, particularly as I only intended to do one module in the first year.

What has life's experience taught you so far?
Take risks to experience life. Don’t worry about situations, unless they actually arise!
