New Muslim Chaplain Appointed

David Bone has been appointed as the new Muslim Chaplain at Warwick. He will take up the post on 1 January 2008.

A Warwick graduate, David held the office of President of the Islamic Society for three years during his time here. He is a qualified teacher, and has run his own engineering consultancy firm for the last seven years.

Prior to establishing his own business, David worked in a variety of engineering and teaching roles, including working as a Knowledge Engineer at Coventry University. He has a particular interest in interfaith and education issues, and is currently Vice-Chairman of Coventry City Circle, a community-based initiative organising interfaith and Islamic education programmes in Coventry.

David is an active member of the West Midlands Faith Forum, and a former member of the Shurah (national Consultative Committee) for the Islamic Society of Britain.
