Nicole Seligman

It is with great sadness that the University reports the death of Nicole Seligman, a first year student in the Department of Politics and International Studies. She died in her residence on campus on 23rd June. Her tutors have described her as a bright and promising young student whose loss is very hard to take. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift said:
"The sudden death of such a young member of our University family hits all members of that community particularly hard, especially friends and staff who knew them well. We offer our sincere condolences to her family and friends as they come to terms with their tragic loss."

University staff and support professionals are working to support those students who were closest to Nicole. If you would like to speak to someone at this time, there are a number of support services available. The Student Support Services site gives more details at http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/campusaffairs/student-support-services/

A book of condolence is now available in the Chaplaincy and will remain open over the vacation and start of the Autumn term.
