Paul Chleboun has been awarded the first PhD from the Complexity Science Doctoral Training Centre. His thesis is entitled 'Large Deviations and Metastability in Condensing Stochastic Particle Systems'. Pauls’ work modelled systems such as road traffic and financial trading to better understand them.

Paul took MMaths & Physics at Warwick, before completing an MSc in Complexity Science, as part of the first cohort to do so in 2008. He was supervised by Stefan Grosskinsky of Complexity Science and Mathematics and Ellak Somfai of Complexity Science and Physics. Paul is now a postdoctoral researcher at University Roma Tre, working on the large scale stochastic dynamics of kinetically constrained spin models.
