Pragya Mehrotra

The University regrets to announce the death of postgraduate student Pragya Mehrotra.

She was found close to the University’s Claycroft Residences on Friday afternoon. The police regard her death as a tragic matter, but say that her death poses no risk to others and they are not looking to speak to anyone else in connection with her death.

Pragya was a Masters degree student in the School of Law and was following the LLM in International Development Law and Human Rights.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift said: "Pragya had been part of our University family for just two months but in that short time had made many friends in the student and staff community. We are all saddened by this tragic news."

If you would like to speak to somebody at this time, there are a range of support services on offer at the University. For more information, visit the Student Support Services site at http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/campusaffairs/student-support-services/
