University House raise their mugs for Macmillan

Staff in the Academic Office, Research Support Services, Warwick Ventures, LDC and CSDE hosted a coffee morning today, 30 October, to help raise crucial funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The World's Biggest Coffee Morning is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, and attracted an estimated 2 million people to raise their mugs for Macmillan last year. This year's event took place on Friday 28 September with over 42,000 people across the country hosting a coffee morning, helping the charity in its goal to raise over £7 million for people affected by cancer.

Coffee mornings have continued to be hosted since September to help ensure a record-breaking fundraising total for this year’s event.

Kate Mahoney, from the Centre for Student Development and Enterprise, who organised the University House event, would like to thank everyone who took part and helped to raise £111.04 for the charity.
