Emma has been chosen as one of the final five candidates, who will now be interviewed at BBC Millbank in Westminster on Wednesday 9 July. One candidate will be chosen from the final five to appear on the panel. The special edition of Question Time will be aired on Thursday 10 July at 10.35pm on BBC One - tune in to see if Emma is selected to appear.

Warwick student Emma Biermann (second year Politics and International Studies) is hoping to win a place on the BBC's Question Time next Thursday (10 July) - but she needs your help.

Emma, who has recently returned from a Climate Change trip to the Arctic, recorded a message on her mobile phone from the Arctic and has been shortlisted with nine other hopefuls from across the country.

Now, the BBC is set to choose a winner based on comments left by members of the public. Viewers can log on, watch the videos, and say who they would like to see on the show and why.

Emma said: "Young people often aren't listened to, but there should be a platform for them. That's why I want to go on the programme.

"I'm not a career politician. I'm interested in local issues and what affects people directly."

She added: "It's not about how many comments you get, it's about what the comments say.

"I think the producers are looking out for whether people want to hear more."
