Goodbye and Good Luck to University Secretary, Cathy Charlton, who left the University on Friday 18 January after over 18 years at Warwick.

Cathy joined the University in October 1989 as Administrative Assistant in the Academic Office before becoming Assistant Registrar in the Deputy Registrar’s Office in September 1990. She became Senior Assistant Registrar in 1993, before being appointed to the role of University Secretary in December 2003.

A reference for one of Cathy’s previous roles talks of her having ‘a rare combination of being able to focus on the myriad detail while having a broad view as to where trends in student numbers, research grants, new developments etc are likely to take us.' Another one says 'In dealing with often irate academics she maintains a coolness and courtesy which disarms even the most trenchant.'
