Harish Trivedi is the author of numerous books on comparative literature, Shakespeare studies and translation including Colonial Transactions: English Literature and India (1993; rpt. 1995). He has co-edited Post-colonial Translation: Theory and Practice (1999) (with Professor Susan Bassnett), Literature and Nation: Britain and India 1800-1990 (2001) and The Nation Across the World: Postcolonial Formations (2007).
