India at 60 - Prematurely Globalised: the Strange Fate of Indian Writing in English

mishra.pngAs part of the University's Celebrating South Asia Programme, the Warwick Writing Programme in the Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies, presents Pankaj Mishra, winner of the Los Angeles Times's Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction; who will speak on 'Prematurely Globalised: the Strange Fate of Indian Writing in English.'

Pankaj is author of The Romantics, An End to Suffering: The Buddha in the World (2004); Temptations of the West: How to be Modern in India, Pakistan and Beyond (2006) and editor of India in Mind (2005); a frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books, Granta, and the Times Literary Supplement.
