National Conference for Work Experience Organisers

The 12th National Conference for Work Experience Organisers run by the Centre for Education and Industry at the University, will be held at the Chesford Grange Hotel near Kenilworth in Warwickshire on 7-8th November 2007. It will focus upon current and future pressures currently facing work experience organisers, the creative approaches to its delivery, with a particular focus on innovation, alternative curriculum and the increasing integration of work experience within economic awareness, work-related learning and enterprise development.

At this year's conference keynote speakers will, as usual, focus on the latest developments in government policy and strategy affecting work experience. A range of workshops, presentations and discussion groups will create a balance between strategy and practice.  One of the main themes must inevitably be the latest Diploma developments and their relationship with work experience provision; but other "lines of investigation" will cover areas such as industrial and commercial attitudes, quality issues, post-statutory work experience and the reality of the experience for the end-user.

The Midlands venue is convenient for any travel plans. Delegates are encouraged to network informally with colleagues in a comfortable four-star hotel atmosphere, which provides extremely comfortable rooms and free access to such leisure facilities as a swimming pool and jacuzzi.
