Mead Gallery, Spring Perspectives Series - Looking for Alfred

Spring Perspectives is a series of free lunchtime talks on the work in the galleries. A diverse range of speaker have been invited to outline their personal interest in the exhibitions, offering multiple perspectives from which to consider the work.

Victor Perkins (Senior Lecturer in Film Studies, Warwick) discusses 'Looking for Alfred', Johan Grimonprez's exhibition in the Mead Gallery, and the function of Hitchcock's own cameos in his films. Part homage to Hitchcock, part investigation of look-alike culture, Looking for Alfred is a witty and multi-levelled deconstruction of notions of reality by the acclaimed Belgian artist Johan Grimonprez.
