'Always something new out of Africa': Professor Eldryd Parry OBE MB MD FRCP, Director of the Tropical Health and Education Trust speaking about medicine in Africa.

Eldryd Parry has practised, taught and been involved with medicine in Africa since 1960, as a Physician, Professor of Medicine and Dean of two medical schools.

He has worked in three countries, witnessed many changes and is senior editor of Principles of Medicine in Africa, which has won two prizes.

With a group of friends he set up THET, the Tropical Health and Education Trust, which is growing strongly as it seeks to strengthen training for health care and links between United Kingdom hospitals and their counterparts in tropical countries.
