Developing a self-healing car.

Researchers at Warwick in partnership with Jaguar Cars are developing an on-board electronic system for vehicles that will find faults and ultimately be able to fix them, a self-healing car.

With faults resulting in massive warranty costs for manufactures, creating a simple and more cost effective way of solving electrical and mechanical problems would make life easier for the motorist and help save manufacturers money which they could spend on developing cars.

The team at Warwick are working on developing an electrical system that can diagnose faults. It is the first step to creating the self-healing car which could be with us within the next five years.
