Double delight for University of Warwick sisters

Jessica and Laura Pacey (l-r) both graduated from University of Warwick last weekTwin sisters Jessica and Laura Pacey are both celebrating after graduating from University of Warwick last week.

The Wivelsfield Green pair are now looking forward to the rest of their lives after spending three years studying at the same University together.

“We both applied to similar places but never thought we would end up in the same one,” Jessica said.

“We always thought we would go to a much prettier university but when we came here it had a certain charm about it and we knew we wanted to come here.”

Jessica graduated with a first class degree in History on Thursday afternoon, 24 hours before her sister Laura, who achieved a 2.1 in Classical Civilisation.

The identical twins were given extra tickets by the University so they could attend each other’s graduation ceremonies along with their parents.

Laura said: “It would have been nice to graduate on the same day but it was nice to see Jessica have her own day, I was beaming with pride for her.”

And now the twins, who are originally from Highgate, London, are giving themselves time out to discover what they want to do with their degrees.

“It is difficult with non vocational degrees to know what we want to do, I will take a year to experience different options before deciding on my career path,” Jessica added.
