Global and Gifted Conference at the University of Warwick

IGGY (International Gateway for Gifted Youth) is holding its first conference on Gifted and Talented Secondary Education for teachers and co-ordinators on Wednesday 4 July from 10am until 4pm.

Global and Gifted is a free, one-day conference aimed at teachers and co-coordinators of gifted students, with three keynote presentations and a choice of practical workshops.

The keynote presentations are designed to inform, to inspire and to share, with content based around a longitudinal research study, the science of Hollywood films and the global landscape of gifted education.

IGGY is a new online education network for gifted 13-18 year olds. Its new website launches this Autumn, offering members high quality interactive content and the opportunity to connect with top academics and other gifted students across the world.

Director of IGGY, Janey Walker said: “We hope this will be the first in a series of conferences and events. We want to develop a network of teachers and educators giving us feedback as IGGY develops over the next few years.”
