Latest developments 10th July 2019

We are improving how we handle student disciplinary and appeals processes following recommendations from an independent external review.

You can read the review in full, along with our guiding principles, and our vision and action plan that will address all the issues that have been raised.

See the Independent External Review and our latest press release.

The University has undertaken three important strands of activity.

  1. A reiteration of our commitment to providing dedicated support for staff and students who have been affected by the group chat incident, as well as meeting the wellbeing needs of all the Warwick community;
  2. An external, independent review into our student disciplinary and appeals process;
  3. A consultation within the University on how we can translate our values of openness, diversity, respect and trust into a statement of what is and is not acceptable behaviour and, also, how we can encourage those positive behaviours.

Additional Wellbeing Support Services

We are making additional, specific wellbeing resource available for all those affected by the recent events who would like support. This support is free, confidential, and open to all students and staff. Provision includes an independent psychologist who will hold sessions with individuals who would prefer to speak to a clinician external to the University.

You can find out more about the Wellbeing support available on their webpages
