The UK's Guardian Newspaper has today, Tuesday 22nd May 2012, ranked the University of Warwick as 5th overall in the UK and once again as the top University in the Midlands

The Guardian Guide also ranked a number of Warwick departments or degrees in the top 5 in the UK including: 1^st place for American Studies, 3^rd for Business and Management, 2^nd for Film Studies, 3^rd for Mathematics, 3^rd for Sociology and 4^th for Economics.

The Guardian said:

“Consistently rated among the best universities in the country, Warwick is something of a leader in the academic field, with innovative approaches to community involvement and widening participation.”
