Premier Automotive Group to Collaborate with University of Warwick

Agreement has been reached for a long-term collaboration between the Warwick Manufacturing Group at the University of Warwick and the Premier Automotive Group.
Warwick Manufacturing Group, part of the University of Warwick, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Premier Automotive Group the Ford owned company of prestige marques, which consist of Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lincoln and Volvo.
The new collaboration, a long-term, multi-million pound programme, will result in co-operation on training, research and development, supply chain. Joint project teams will address each area in order to ensure a sharing of expertise and best practice.
President of the Premier Automotive Group, Dr Wolfgang Reitzle said, "We have ambitious plans in place to increase production from the current annual level of 800,000 vehicles. The quality of those products is of critical importance to us and to our customers. The University of Warwick is one of the country's finest centres of excellence and as such we look forward to sharing innovative technology and building on the achievements of both parties.
Bob Dover Chairman and CEO of Land Rover said, "Like our colleagues at Jaguar, Land Rover has along-established heritage here in the Midlands and a commitment to maintaining the regions distinguished history of producing luxury vehicles."
Professor Kumar Bhattacharyya Director of the Warwick Manufacturing Group, added: "We are delighted to be associated with such a prestigious company".
