University of Warwick students are aiming to strut their stuff along the catwalk in support of Macmillan Cancer Relief. The planned fashion event is being organised by 35 student members of the Warwick Volunteers and they hope to raise funds to help Macmillan Cancer Relief continue their work.

Macmillan Cancer Relief is a UK charity that works to improve the quality of life for people living with cancer. Currently over a million people are living with cancer in the UK and, if current trends continue, more than five million will be diagnosed between now and 2020. Macmillan offers life support by providing the expert care and practical support that makes a difference to people living with cancer.

Why not help raise the funds needed for such vital work and also have an enjoyable evening by attending the event? The show will feature both male and female models showing off fashionable clothing from Fat Face, D2, Pilot, Burtons and Dorothy Perkins. During the evening there will be a raffle with wonderful prizes along with a tempting chocolate stall from Thornton’s.

Entrance will be from 7.00pm with the show to start at 7.30pm. Tickets are £4 (includes a glass of wine) and can be purchased in advance from Warwick Volunteers in the Student's Union or from Leamington Town Hall (01926 456 905 or 01926 456 905). Tickets will be available on the evening at the door priced at £4.50.

All the proceeds from the event will be going to the Coventry and Warwickshire Appeal which urgently needs to raise funds for cancer patients and their families in the local area.
