The University of Warwick's Careers Service is one of only two UK university Careers services to be awarded one of The Department for Education and Skills (DfES) prestigious new Matrix Excellence Awards. The award to Warwick was announced on Thursday 14th October.

The University of Warwick's Careers Service provides careers advice, guidance, education and information to 20,000 Warwick students and tens of thousands of graduates. The service also serves local, national and international employers interested in recruiting Warwick students.

Announcing the launch of the awards Minister for Skills and Vocational Education Ivan Lewis said: "Organisations holding the Matrix Standard have clearly demonstrated their commitment to delivering high quality information, advice and guidance. The Matrix Excellence Awards recognise outstanding services."
