New Santander Campus branch marks special partnership with University of Warwick

The bank and the University have signed an agreement which brings the University into the “Santander Universities” community  meaning that the bank will fund a range of teaching, research and community relations activities linked to the University. This includes a Warwick Volunteers Santander Competition that offers students the chance to win up to £1,000 to develop and lead a project that benefits the community around the University.

Santander Universities is a global partnership involving a network of higher education institutions in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Spain, the UK, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Luis Juste, area director UK and Portugal for Santander Universities signed the agreement with University of Warwick Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift  who said: "I am very happy to be making a commitment on behalf of the University of Warwick to a long-term partnership with Santander Universities. It is a partnership with enormous potential for Warwick, enabling us to offer new opportunities to students and to build exciting research programmes within the University."

The opening of this branch brings the number of Santander university branches in the UK to twenty-one. The branch offers exclusive products and a personalised service to the entire community at the university. Among these is a new student account which offers free mobile phone, laptop and gadget insurance worth up to £240.
