Warwick Medical School's Professor Matthew Cooke was named in the Times Magazine (13 November) as one of the country's top doctors in the Accident and Emergency arena.

Matthew's work in emergency medicine, his teaching and research role, added to his efforts to turn research evidence into practical change and improvement, have been recognised by the panel of experts collating the list.

Matthew was delighted with the honour: "The award is a welcome reflection of the hard work, research and teaching of all the WMS team that is bringing about real change for patient care as well as greater efficiency in the business processes and systems within emergency healthcare."
